CORONAVIRUS MEMBER UPDATE – MONDAY 20 APRIL

Monday, 20th April 2020

CORRESPONDENCE TO MEMBERS via email on Monday 20 April

Dear Members

Hope everyone is well, 4 quick updates for you to kick the week off;

1) The SYC Members Podcast Episode Four – is now online and it’s another great insight into Club characters – Deeksy & George go global as well as locally they catch up with Mike Welsh, Robyn Coombs and our great friend Geoff Quirk from Mercedes-Benz Brighton. They also chat to Emily Close about her navy career and family interests in sailing listen here.

2) Anzac Day Service – Thanks to Ian MacWilliams and George Shaw we will be posting a memorable Anzac Day video service available this Saturday from 6am (0600 hours). It will feature Reg Walsh on trumpet, Tim Little reading the ODE, Emily Close reading the Requiem, Normie Rowe with a special song and Club Chaplain Graeme Disney reading the Benediction. This will be followed by a reflection of scenes from SYC Anzac Day (Dunkirk re-enactment) narrated by Robyn Brooke. You will be able to watch the video service Saturday by clicking here.

3) Ken King Centre Food Home Deliveries – From tomorrow our phones will be manned daily from 10am-4pm and home deliveries for our take away food are back on. You can ring in with your order 9599 0999 and or if popping in, you can purchase take away food, coffee and alcohol daily 11am – 5pm.

4) Connecting Our Community – 40 businesses now have something on offer for SYC Members – click here to check out the offers. One timely offer I’d like to mention is for members who want more information about various assistance packages the Government has introduced for business. You can find accurate and concise updates on the web site of Logie-Smith Lanyon – click here. If you have questions after reading an update, SYC member Andrew Logie-Smith is happy to answer them and we will build a FAQ section for SYC members. Thanks Andrew – who can be emailed on [email protected].

Warm Regards & Stay Safe,

Richard Hewett
