Celebrating National Volunteer Week 2026

National Volunteer Week (18–24 May 2026) is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible volunteers who help make Sandringham Yacht Club such a welcoming, vibrant and successful community.

From race management and on water support to coaching, mentoring, administration, event delivery and committee involvement, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Their passion, generosity and commitment contribute enormously to the success of the Club and the wider sailing community.

As SYC prepares for another exciting year featuring major regattas, championships and international events, the support of volunteers continues to play a vital role both on and off the water. Many of the Club’s programs, events and activities simply would not be possible without their contribution.

Throughout National Volunteer Week, SYC will be recognising and thanking our volunteers for the time, energy and experience they so generously provide to the Club.

If you are interested in becoming involved as an SYC volunteer, we would love to hear from you. Volunteering is a fantastic way to contribute to the Club, meet new people, develop skills and be part of the action both on and off the water.
