| 1965-1969 | 5 Sydney to Hobart races with following results: 1965-17th; 1966-18th; 1967-DNF; 1968-25th ;1969-25th. In 1967, a podium position was looking good rounding Tasman island in a gale when she lost her mast. Lou’s first ocean racing yacht and a sister ship to the three time winner Freya. A basic yacht, very seaworthy which gave Lou a taste for offshore racing. On the heavy side but purchased essentially for offshore racing. Light weather was her achilles heal. |
