OTHER HISTORY

YEAR DESCRIPTION
1979 - 1983 “Challenge” (commonly called Challenge II) competed in 5 Sydney-Hobart races and was the first Victorian Yacht to win the race on corrected time by 7 hours in 1983. Lou was ahead of his time selecting a fractional rig design. A feature of this boat was her off the wind performance particularly in stronger winds. Weakness was in lighter winds. Very sea worthy and comfortable below deck.
