1980's Competed in four Melbourne to Devonport Ocean Races, Banshee also won many SYC Trophies including Dorothy Cup, Katoura Salver, SYC Cup, Wyvern Cup, Commodore in Chief, Commodores and Vice Commodores trophies.
1980's Banshee was the first of many fibreglass Defiance 30’s built in Australia by Ron Swanson. The moulds were later purchased by Savage Boat builders and a new deck and cabin mould was made. These boats are known as Savage 30
