Beach Road Closure – Sunday 31 August

On Sunday 31 August, Beach Road will be closed from approximately 3.30am to 12pm for the Brighton Beach Marathon. The closure will be between Were Street in Brighton and Charman Road in Beaumaris.

Access to Sandringham Yacht Club will be via Georgiana Street and it is expected that there will be delays so members attending the Club should allow extra travel time. Like previous events, there will be traffic marshals on the morning of the event to facilitate the crossings. This event will be based out of Green Point and crossings will be permitted when there are safe gaps between runners.

To assist with speeding up the crossing process, we have been provided with vehicle access permits. These permits can be printed and displayed on your dashboard (example below) which will highlight to the traffic marshals that you are requiring access to SYC.
