Support the future sailors of the club and help replace SYC’s fleet of training Pacers!
The SYC Pacer fleet is an important asset that helps us train members and sailors of the future. Our Pacers are used for adult and youth learn to sail courses, private lessons, community groups and schools sailing.
Our fleet is one of the busiest in Melbourne and is in need of replacement. The cost of a new, ready to sail Pacer is $14,000 per boat.
Recognising that $14,000 is a significant amount of money, we are offering to match dollar for dollar, what members are prepared to donate. Therefore, for those members who would like to make a “tax deductable donation” of $7,000 through the Australian Sports Foundation, to buy a Pacer for the club, the club will contribute the balance.
