As part of the Clubs compliance regime with club fire extinguishers, hose reels and fire hydrants throughout the site, we have a service agreement with a company called Fire Equipment Services (FES). They were recently onsite on Wednesday 27 November conducting their normal service. As an extension of that service visit, SYC offered all boat owners at the Club the opportunity to get their boats extinguishers checked.
In all 77 fire extinguishers were checked with 95% of them being given the green light and tagged as compliant. The non-compliant ones were replaced.
This new Member service will be offered again in 6 months’ time when FES are onsite again….. and we will be in touch with all boat owners in advance.
There is no fee for this Members service and we would encourage all Members to take advantage of the offer.
