The Annual SYC Cup Navigation Rally was held on Sunday 19 February in nice conditions.
With a good turnout of SYC boats and boats from RVMYC competing, the conditions made for very competitive scoring.
So much so that the top 3 boats finished with scores of under 20, a pretty remarkable effort.
1st place on 6 points – IV by VIII (Kate and David McCutcheon) – SYC
2nd place on 10 points – Bold Venture (Cameron & Bridget Simpson) – RVMYC
3rd place on 16 points – Vixen 1 (Christine Matheou-Fox, Phil Strong and Jon Evans) – SYC
Congratulations to the winners and also to team from SYC, who for the first time in two years took home the CUB Cup for the most successful club competing in the event.
Also a big thanks to those who competed and to those who ran the event, as a great day was had by all.
