2021 SYC CUP NavRally Results

Thursday, 25th March 2021

The Annual SYC Cup NavRally was held on Sunday 21 March. The weather was overcast with a bit of wind and chop, but we ran the SYC Cup in so tough conditions.Six of the 7 entered starters actually started the course and following two withdrawals during the Nav Rally, the 4 finishers did so with fairly close scores. Two boats had the same score in second place and on a countback the following results were announced:

1st place on 16 points – IV by VIII (Kate and David McCutcheon) – SYC

2nd place on 23 points – Vixen 1 (Christine Fox/Phil Strong and Jon Evans) – SYC

3rd place on 23 points – Rob Roy (Mark and Kathie Rindfleish) – RVMYC

This means that SYC also retained the CUB Cup for the most successful club competing in the event (2nd year running).

Thanks to Cheryl and Peter Sutton for the help on the day.
