The Annual SYC Cup NavRally was held on Sunday 21 March. The weather was overcast with a bit of wind and chop, but we ran the SYC Cup in so tough conditions.
Six of the 7 entered starters actually started the course and following two withdrawals during the Nav Rally, the 4 finishers did so with fairly close scores. Two boats had the same score in second place and on a countback the following results were announced:
1st place on 16 points – IV by VIII (Kate and David McCutcheon) – SYC
2nd place on 23 points – Vixen 1 (Christine Fox/Phil Strong and Jon Evans) – SYC
3rd place on 23 points – Rob Roy (Mark and Kathie Rindfleish) – RVMYC
This means that SYC also retained the CUB Cup for the most successful club competing in the event (2nd year running).
