Yard & Marina

The SYC marina contains 356 floating berths of varying sizes.

With a depth limit for access of 3.5m, the maximum boat length is 20m and there is no height restriction. We provide essential services including water and power. Security lighting, gated access and security patrols are provided.

The marina occupancy is dynamic and changes regularly. Whilst our occupancy is close to 100%, opportunities surface for new tenants all the time. If you are interested in a berth we would be very pleased to show you around, talk to you about the Club in general and all the benefits that SYC Membership offers. We value member participation highly and all tenants are subject to our member participation scheme which ensures a vibrant and lively club.

Our Marina is supported by excellent yard and land based facilities, these include;

  • Forty (40) tonne travel lift
  • 2 tonne 360 degree continuous slow Jib Crane attachment (travel lift)
  • 2 Hardstand jib cranes with 3 tonne lifting capacity
  • 2 tonne fork lift
  • 2 keel pits
  • Boat yard with capacity for up to 30 boats
  • Fuel – Diesel & ULP
  • Launch Ramp (all tide double lane ramp)
  • 15 sail lockers
  • Food and Beverage Services including Members Bar and Restaurant

Our marina and yard facilities are complimented by a wide range of onsite services include a chandlery, shipwrights, mechanics, marine electronics, rigging, trimming, yacht broker, power boat broker, hot showers & toilets and limited visitor berthing. The boat yard also houses a concessions building with 8 tenants. The boat yard operates on a two tiered pricing structure with members receiving discounted rates.

Our Marina & Yard is currently rated at 4.5 Gold Anchor status supported by our Level 3 Clean Seas Marina accreditation.

Senior Membership of SYC is a pre-requisite to berthing your vessel at the Club. In addition the Marina, its usage, berth allocation and general house rules are set out in policies and procedures all contained in the Clubs By-Laws. Please also note these also set out the types of vessels we do not accept. Please take the time to read these on page 43 of the By-Laws.
